Hello friends!
Beth Holcomb here. I’m the owner of The Dressing Room, with locations in St. Petersburg, Florida; Celebration, Florida; and Pawleys Island, South Carolina. I wanted to share a little with you about myself in hopes that you’ll feel the passion and love I have for what I do and see how that translates into helping make your special day the very best it can be.
I grew up in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, sandwiched between Myrtle Beach and Charleston. I married the most amazing man, have a beautiful daughter, and the cutest grandson a grandma could ask for. I was fortunate to have had a long and successful career in retail that gave me the experience I needed to pursue my dream of owning my own shop. Enter: The Dressing Room.

I wish I could say that bridal was always an area I was interested in, but honestly, bridal found me. When I began looking at businesses, I knew retail was my arena. The problem was, there were so many different types to choose from! As the months went on, I found myself drawn to bridal boutiques listed for sale. I did my due diligence and researched what I found, but none of them felt right. That is until I found The Dressing Room in downtown St. Pete – a stunning location for Florida Brides.
The notion of a bride having an entire bridal boutique to herself, a private bridal suite, personal stylist, and racks on racks of gorgeous bridal gowns was pure magic! My past self – that little 8-year-old girl that played dress-up in her grandmother’s wedding dress – fell in love (again).
As with all things that are meant to be, everything came together and I was able to buy The Dressing Room. My husband, Jesse, our husky, Nanook, and I packed our bags (Nanook didn’t help much), and we moved to the Sunshine City in January of 2017. I mean it when I say we couldn’t be happier!
I’ve fulfilled the dream my younger self had, but with the experience of a long and fruitful career. We’ve made great strides in meeting the needs of our brides by digital means. Now, our brides can book their bridal appointments online, communicate with us via text, phone, email, and any of our social media pages. Our goal is to be there when our brides need us in the way that works best for them. My passionate team and I were able to scale quickly when opportunities for additional bridal boutique locations came through after just one year. I opened a location in Celebration, Florida and another in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, just a stone’s throw from my hometown of Murrells Inlet and a convenient drive from Myrtle Beach.

Say “hello” to Sally Herndon! She’s our Saint Petersburg store manager. Originally from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina Sally has a background in customer relations, and you can feel it the moment you meet her. She goes out of her way to ensure that brides, their families, and friends feel at ease as soon as they enter the store. Sally feels that shopping for a wedding dress is about more than just the dress – it’s the entire wedding dress shopping experience that makes it memorable, and that includes the confidence the bride has in her bridal stylist. When Sally isn’t helping brides find their dream dresses, she enjoys spending time with the love of her life, her five year-old son, Robby.
